Commuter Flights |
Both Sansa and Nature Air fly daily from San
José to Puerto Jiménez . It´s a beautiful flight,
with extraordinary views of the Golfo Dulce. (50 minutes flight).
Its important to note that there`s a baggage restriction of 25 pounds
per person. Any extra weight is charged at 45 cents per pound.
Advance reservations are requested for these flights as well as
a 45-minute check in. |

Renting Car |
| Driving from San José to Puerto Jiménez
is about an eight-hour trip. This is a pleasant way to see the country
and decide over your time. However, you must consider that roads
in general are not in a good shape. It`s a good advise not to ride
at night, especially during the rainy season. |

| From San José to Puerto Jiménez
it is a 9 hour ride on a bumpy highway. Buses are not air-conditioned.
Only recommended for the "hearty traveler." Reservations
are not possible. |
